PERSONAL DATA
Privacy & data protection policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect through the taxcon.gr website, why we use it and what rights you have, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and Greek Law 4624/2019. This is a translation; if there is any difference, the Greek version prevails.
1. Data controller
The controller of your personal data is Tax Consulting – Periklis Lazaros, Dimitras 2, Chalandri 152 34, Athens, Greece, tel. +30 210 682 7688, email info@taxcon.gr.
2. What data we collect
We collect only the data that is strictly necessary:
- Through the contact form: your full name, email address, phone number (optional) and the content of your message.
- When you contact us directly (by phone or email): the details you give us.
- Technical data: like any website, our hosting provider logs basic technical information (e.g. IP address, browser type, time of access) to keep the site running securely. The form’s hCaptcha security check processes similar information to tell people apart from automated programs (spam).
We do not use analytics or advertising tools.
3. Why we use your data
We use your data only to:
- handle and reply to your requests or questions;
- give you the information you ask for about our accounting, tax and consulting services and, if you wish, prepare for working together;
- protect the website and the form from misuse and spam.
We do not send you marketing messages or newsletters.
4. Legal basis
- Steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), when you ask us for information or a quote.
- Our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in replying to people who contact us and in protecting the website from spam and abuse.
Giving us your details is optional. Without your name, email and message, however, we cannot reply to you through the form.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep form messages and our correspondence for as long as we need to deal with your request. If we do not end up working together, we delete them no later than 12 months after our last contact, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. If we do start working together, your data is governed by the terms of our engagement and by our obligations under applicable law, in particular Greek tax law.
6. Who receives your data
Your personal data is confidential. We do not sell it, rent it out or share it with third parties for commercial purposes. To run the website we use the following providers, which process data on our behalf and only for that purpose:
- Web3Forms: receives the form details and forwards them to our email.
- hCaptcha (Intuition Machines, Inc.): the form’s anti-spam security check.
- Our website hosting provider and our email provider.
- Google (Google Maps): only if you click “Show Google map”. Until then, nothing is loaded from Google.
Data may also be disclosed to the competent public or tax authorities, but only where the law requires it.
Some of these providers are based in, or use infrastructure, outside the European Economic Area (e.g. in the USA). In that case, transfers are made with the safeguards provided for in the GDPR, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of:
- Access: to find out what data we hold about you.
- Rectification: to have inaccurate data corrected.
- Erasure (“right to be forgotten”): to have your data deleted.
- Restriction and objection: to restrict the processing of your data or object to it.
- Portability: to receive the data you gave us in a commonly used format.
To exercise your rights, email us at info@taxcon.gr or call +30 210 682 7688. We will reply within one month at the latest. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
If you believe that the processing of your data breaches the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (1-3 Kifisias Ave., 115 23 Athens, www.dpa.gr).
8. Cookies
This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. hCaptcha, which loads only with the contact form, and the Google map, which loads only if you ask for it, may use cookies or similar technologies under their own privacy policies (hCaptcha, Google).
9. Security and changes
The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and your messages are accessible only to us. We may update this policy when something changes on the website or in the law; the current version is always on this page.
